Case files for curious kids

Real evidence in the mailbox. A real case to crack.

Classified Cases are mail-order mysteries for kids 7 to 13. Sealed evidence arrives in boxes and envelopes over eight to ten weeks, and your detective works the case on its own police computer: logging clues, filing reports and, finally, naming who did it.

  • Self-paced, never on a timer
  • Hints and answers for parents
  • No real personal data from kids

How it works

A mystery that unfolds through the mail

Four steps from the first box to the moment your detective names the culprit.

  1. 1

    Pick a case

Choose the mystery that suits your kid: a gentle alien rescue for younger agents or a museum heist for seasoned sleuths.

  2. 2

    The case file arrives

Box 1 brings a credential card with their own login, the first sealed evidence, and a welcome letter from the boss.

  3. 3

    Investigate online

They sign in to the case's own portal, log each clue by its code, dig through records and file a short report each week.

  4. 4

    Crack the case

Every accepted report unlocks the next step and sends the next delivery. The final report names the culprit and earns a reward box.

Inside the box

Things they can hold, study and argue about

Every delivery is packed like a real evidence file. Nothing is decoration: each item is a clue, a tool, or a reward.

  • Sealed evidence bags

Labeled with real item numbers they log in the portal.

  • Documents to study

Letters, maps, receipts, schedules and photos that hide the details that matter.

  • Real tools

UV lights, test kits and lab samples, packed for the week they're needed.

  • A credential of their own

A badge number and access code printed on a card. No email address needed.

  • Letters from the boss

The Chief (or HQ) writes back as the case moves, so it feels alive.

  • A reward at the end

Solve the case and a final box arrives with a keepsake for the shelf.

The case portal

Their own police computer

Every case comes with a private portal built for that story. Kids sign in with the badge number on their credential card and get to work.

  • Badge logs, camera stills, interviews, lab reports and warrants, unlocked as the case unfolds
  • Answers are checked instantly, with a nudge in the right direction when they're close
  • Big buttons and plain words; younger agents tap their answers instead of typing

What they practice

Fun first. Then you notice what they're learning.

  • Close reading

The answer is always in the documents, if you read every line.

  • Logical reasoning

Rule people out, test theories, and spot the alibi that doesn't add up.

  • Note-taking

Times, names and codes pile up. Good detectives write things down.

  • Proving it

A hunch isn't enough. Every report needs evidence to back it up.

Parents' corner

You're the co-agent, not the tech support

A parent view runs alongside every case. Peek at hints when they're stuck, see the full solution, track every shipment, and turn on the lab speed-up if waiting isn't fun.

Parents' corner
  • A ladder of hints that stop short of the answer
  • The full solution, for your eyes only
  • Shipment tracking for every box and envelope
  • No real names, emails or photos from kids

Questions

The short answers

Frequently asked questions →
What ages are the cases for?

Our cases are written for kids roughly 7 to 13. Each case lists its own age range and difficulty: Starter cases use tap-to-answer missions and plain words, while Intermediate cases expect confident reading and typed answers.

When do the boxes arrive?

Box 1 ships soon after you order. Each later box or envelope is triggered by your detective's progress in the portal, so it arrives when they're ready for it rather than on a fixed date.

What happens if my detective gets stuck?

When a report isn't right, the portal explains what to look at again. In-story help is available in the portal, and your parent view has a ladder of hints plus the full solution.

What information do you collect from my child?

No personal information. Detectives pick a codename from a list and sign in with a pre-printed credential. We store their game progress (logged clues and report answers) only to run the case and show it to you.

Gifting

The gift that keeps arriving

Ship a case straight to a niece, grandson or godchild with your own message. Instead of one moment on a birthday, they get weeks of mail with their name on it.

New cases go to the list first

Launch dates, early-bird offers and the occasional printable puzzle. For grown-ups; we never email kids.
