For parents

Built for kids. Designed for the grown-ups who say yes.

We're parents' first call when it comes to what kids see online, so we built Classified Cases to be private by default, screen-light, and fully in your hands.

Your child's privacy

  • No real personal data from kids

Detectives sign in with a badge number and access code printed on their credential card. They never give us an email address, a real name, a photo or a birthday.

  • A codename, picked from a list

At first sign-in, kids choose a detective codename from a set list. There's no free-form profile and nothing about them is shown to anyone else.

  • No chat, no social, no ads

Detectives can't message other players or strangers. The case portals carry no advertising and no in-game purchases.

  • Your account, not theirs

The grown-up who orders owns the account. Detective logins are linked to your order, and you can ask us to delete a detective's progress at any time.

COPPA

COPPA-conscious by design

The US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act limits what websites can collect from children under 13. Our approach is simple: we don't ask children for personal information. Purchasing, email and account details all come from the adult. What we do store about a detective's play (which clues they've logged, the answers in their reports) exists only to run the game and to show you their progress.

Screen time in balance

Roughly half of every case happens off-screen: unpacking evidence, holding a photo up to a UV light, drawing a timeline on paper. Sessions are short, and the portal has no timers, streaks, badges-for-logging-in or push notifications. When the week's question is answered, there's nothing to keep them scrolling.

Parent controls

  • 01

    Hints that stop short

A ladder of hints for each week, from a gentle nudge to a strong pointer, so you can help without giving it away.

  • 02

    The full solution

See every week's answer and the whole story, so you're never the one stuck.

  • 03

    Lab speed-up

Some cases make lab results take in-story time. Switch on the speed-up if your detective would rather not wait.

  • 04

    Shipment tracking

See which boxes have shipped and which are waiting on your detective's next report.

  • 05

    A heads-up when they're stuck

If a report is sent back several times, we can email you so you can step in.

  • 06

    Grown-up steps, clearly marked

Anything hands-on that needs an adult, like a stove-top step in a science activity, comes with its own instructions addressed to you.

Tips for co-agents

  • Let them hold the evidence. The physical items are half the fun.
  • Ask questions instead of giving answers: "What does the schedule say about Friday?"
  • Younger detectives love a grown-up reading partner for the longer documents.
  • Use the hints in order. The first one is usually enough.
